Establishing a Subfund

QCF provides a cost-effective and simple mechanism to set up a fund.  No administration costs are incurred.  The capital invested is maintained and the income generated is distributed for the purposes outlined in the letter of application made by the charity, non-profit organisation, individual or as recommended to the Trustee for approval.

All funds are perpetual to be used for charitable purposes.  The capital cannot be accessed for administrative purposes.  The Public Trustee charges six per cent of income earned from a Fund as a trustee’s fee.

The minimum seed donation for a non-profit organisation or charity is $20,000 based on the ability to secure donations and bequests from the general public.  The minimum seed donation for a private citizen or business is $50,000.
