Bequests and your will

Have you ever wanted to make a lasting gift for a cause or charity but haven't known how?

Perhaps you've wanted to make sure your family name or that of a loved one is remembered for years to come. Or perhaps you want to assist your community in some way.

The Queensland Community Foundation is the answer. You can leave money or assets in your will by establishing a sub-fund, or nominate a preferred charity  who has an established sub-fund within the Queensland Community Foundation.

Ask your solicitor or accountant to contact Queensland Community Foundation or the nearest Public Trustee Office to obtain the appropriate wording to be included in your will on how to establish a sub-fund, or to give to charity through the Queensland Community Foundation. Contact details and links to the Public Trust Office can be found on this website.

The Public Trustee of Queensland offers a will making service that is free of charge to all Queenslanders. In special circumstances an 'in home' service is provided for those who are unable to attend their Office.
