Establishing a sub-fund

The Queensland Community Foundation (QCF) makes it easy for individuals, companies and charities to establish a sub-fund. Setting up a sub-fund is uncomplicated and cost-effective as the trust structure already exists.

After meeting with the Executive Officer and receiving the information pack, the individual or organisation will be offered the opportunity to have a presentation on the full benefits of being a sub-fund with QCF. This presentation lasts about 40 minutes.

Once the individual, company or charity has decided to establish a Named Fund they will be asked to provide the following:

  • The preferred name of the sub-fund.
  • A brief paragraph describing the mission and core business of the organisation is involved in.
  • A plan showing how the fund will be grown in the first five (5) years.
  • A cheque for the initial deposit made out to the Queensland Community Foundation.
  • On receipt of the intial deposit the Trustee will record the sub-fund in the Trustee's accounts.

All Applications for sub-funds are passed to the QCF Management Committee for approval.
